STEPS
1
FINISH USING THE CURRENT APPLICATION YOU HAVE OPEN, AND SAVE YOUR WORK USING THE PROPER PROCESS INSTRUCTED BY THE APPLICATION. 2
EXIT THE APPLICATION BY PRESSING THE HOME BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR DEVICE. It looks like an oval-shaped square in the middle of a circle. Click it once, and your home page should come up, showing all your application buttons. 3
PRESS THE POWER KEY AT THE TOP OF THE DEVICE. On older iPhone versions, this small rectangular button is located on the left top of the device. On newer versions, the button is located on the right top of the device. 4
WAIT FOR THE SCREEN TO BECOME BLACK, AND, ON SOME UNTOUCHED DEVICES, YOU\'LL EVEN HEAR AN AUDIBLE "CLICK" SOUND FROM THE DEVICE\'S SPEAKERS OR HEADSET. When it does, you know you've locked it. VIDEO
TIPS
To unlock your iPhone, either press the circular Home button on the front bottom of the device, or press the Lock button at the top of the device. The screen will illuminate, and you must slide your finger across the bar toward the bottom to unlock it.
