How to Delete All Contacts on an iPhone: 5 Steps (with Pictures)

Use the Settings app to remove all of the contacts stored on your iPhone.
STEPS

TAP THE SETTINGS ICON ON YOUR IPHONE’S HOME SCREEN TO LAUNCH THE SETTINGS APP.

TAP MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS.

TAP THE NAME OF THE ACCOUNT YOU WANT TO DELETE THE CONTACTS FROM.

SET THE SWITCH NEXT TO CONTACTS TO OFF.

TAP THE DELETE FROM MY IPHONE BUTTON.

TIPS
If you have multiple accounts that sync contact information to your iPhone, follow the same process to turn off contacts for them in order to remove all contact information from your iPhone.
WARNINGS
Make sure that you have a backup of your contacts stored on another device if you want to access the contacts again once they have been deleted. You can store a backup by turning on iCloud backup or syncing your iPhone with iTunes
